Advertising Fees

I recently received an email notice from ‘Apex’ that my advertising account was in arrears, and that I needed to remit $20.00 monthly to retain the ability advertise on the ‘For Sale’ pages. Used to be $50.00 per year. Was this a scam?

Last April (2022) Doug announced new $20/month pricing for the classifieds "Super License". At the same time the annual advertising license was eliminated unless you are a banner advertiser or forum sponsor.

The cost for advertising was increased due to the fact that pop up blockers were getting so effective that most if not al of the banner advertisers left. Hence the revenue to make up for that had to come form-increased advertising fees. $20 a month for all you want to sell is still the best deal out there by a long shot

The automatic renew/billing option is now a part of the subscription sign up. Should be available as one of the standard options on the pull down.
