Default Spears RS11 vs Stohr WF1

I’ve been eyeballing a Stohr WF1 to dip my toes into P1 and have received fantastic communication from Rennie on what to look for. I am also looking at an RS11 that looks to be well developed. I don’t see a lot of the Speads anywhere and was curious what others with intimate knowledge of each platform has to say?

some points of interest but no particular order are:

    running costs
    parts availability
    support
    quality
    reliability
    competitiveness
    I race communist race cars.

Tom Bootz had a Speads DSR and switched to a WF1. If I remember correctly, the Speads had less consistent handling. I have no idea how to get in touch with him.

Interesting, I think the one I’m looking at is Tom’s old car.

One can look up other SCCA members on the SCCA website.

The Speads is put together kind of weird. The engine sits at a slight angle and the diff and axles are not in a straight line. Thats probably not a very big deal, but in general strange things broke on the one car that was out in our area. Unless its real cheap and you're tight on budget I'd pass on it.
