Default ProParts USA for Koni Shock Rebuilds?

Does anyone have experience with having ProParts USA rebuild your Koni Shocks?

I sent them 4 Koni 8211 shocks for rebuilding last July and still have not gotten them back. They are virtually impossible to get in touch with – no one ever answers the phone and after several weeks of leaving messages they may return a call. No luck trying to get an email response from them either.

Is this an isolated case, or do others have a similar experience?

    Default

My current experience has been, I ordered Miata ND custom DA shocks where they listed a 3-4 week lead time in the beginning of April, and still do not have them near the end of July. I've been following up monthly, but they always say, "should ship next week".

I'm pursuing a refund now, and haven't heard back from them in a week and a half.

Pretty much ruined my autocross season.

Another local, had a set they customized by them, and a rebuild turnaround was around 4 months.

Default Good Luck with the Return

I too got the "will be done next week" for months. Good choice to get them back. I asked them to return my shocks and after several more weeks of them delaying, they miraculously finished rebuilding them. I don't have much faith in the quality of the rebuild... Took another week or two of wrangling to get them to send an invoice (they had already charged my CC). I will not be using them again.

20 years ago, I had ProParts rebuild the Konis on my Renault Alliance. They were fine then. Now, I am using Performance Shock, Inc at Sonoma Raceway. 1 800 938 5664
