Wartime Service Veteran w/ Design, CAD & Fabrication Skills

Hello all,

My name is Corey Gilmore and I am an experienced Freelance Graphic Designer & Digital Marketing Manager with 20 years of experience, as well as an Infantryman for the Florida National Guard currently living in Tampa, FL. I've been very busy with NG/Army activations and training over the last three years, and returned home in November from a year-long tour in the Middle East where I was participating in Security and Antiterrorism Operations in support of OEF and OIR. While deployed I completed over 100 hours of software training for Solidworks CAD design, and received a 3D printer as a gift that I have been learning to use since I returned. I had contracts lined up during the deployment that were supposed to begin after I returned home, however they all fell through, and I am now in a tough spot. Beyond all of my design skills, I can also do a little welding (I own a tig welder, however I'm no expert), and I can do saddle-stitched leather work which I've been doing for around 6 years. I also have shop experience as a mechanic, and I'm currently in school part-time for Cybersecurity with around four classes left to complete my degree.

I would like to find part-time or full-time work in the automotive sector working for either a race team, fabrication shop, or hotrod shop if possible, or any other work that I could perform with the skills I currently have.
