Default Magnesium Refinishing - Chris Childs

Also posting in the FA section. Chris just refinished an oil tank on the Swift 014 for me. Very nice, good service and fairly priced. Highly recommend if you need mag parts refinishing. You can check out his pictures on Instagram, @childsmotorsport.

Chris does not but we have a very experienced mag welding guy here, his name is Dennis Etchervery. He can be reached on 510 525 1164. Best to call him.

Several years ago I had Ivo Vinklarek repair weld an FT200 case and he did a great job. He runs a small business & has experience doing magnesium weld fab & repair for Colorado area vintage racers (as well as magnesium welding work for Lockheed Martin Denver Aerospace Environmental Test Labs).

    His contact info is:

    I. V. Welding
    1280 W. Lehigh Place

John, there is a guy in Florida who can repair magnesium, but I can't seem dredge up his name. He used to have a shop in Winter Park, built lots of chassis's for the drag race crowd. Skip Weld may be able to get his name and contact info.
There is another fellow in Winter Springs named Hector who has a shop. He also builds for the drag crowd. Of course I can't recall the name of his shop....

That would be Tim Takash. He doesn't have his own shop anymore but does work for a race shop in Orlando somewhere.
