Default Air Filters - K&N replacements

It seems the common K&N Formula Ford air filter is no longer produced or available. There appears that our cousins in New Zealand make a very nice replacement - but its certainly on the pricey side. https://motorsportsolutions.co.nz/pa...r-formula-ford

I have stumbled on another option - The CAL-F1000. https://performancewarehouse.com.au/...1f67da0c&_ss=r

Anybody have any opinions or suggestions?

There was a British source for a reasonable replacement, but Pegasus no longer stocks them and I don't recall the vendor.

The NZ one is pricey but then the NZ Dollar is not worth much either. Multiply by about 0.91 to get Aus and 0.61 to get USD.

Not shown in the photo, it does have a nice thick CNCed bottom plate that does not crack or break or have the posts pull through. The original was almost tin plate and was horrible.

I purchased an oval foam RAMAIR filter to replace my ratty one. About $50 US on ebay. It was from the UK, with free shipping, and I got it in a reasonable amount of time. Just be aware of the height needed.

    Default Filter options

Pipercross makes an oval foam filter similar in footprint to the old K&N but without the taper. Only $50-60 and last a couple years at least. Mount using tie wraps and are very simple. Just another option. Todd

The British outlet is DemonTweaks, selling the ITG filter:

    Pegasus has them, too:

Foam rather than paper, but should work well.
