I have heard that Goodyear has purchased Avon Motorsport and is planning to close their UK factory. This affects motorcycle tyres as well.
As a user of 13 inch Avons, this will cause a lot of problems for my category and possibly others.

I hope they bring the molds to another factory, U.S. or other location.. a lot of historics using Avons. I need them for my '64 vette and for my Lola T91/50 F3000.
Thats too bad they do make some of the best openwheel tires. Maybe if they could be more competitive on the price side of things this wouldn't have happend.

Apparently the plant that is closing only made motorcycle tyres.
Roger Kraus is unaware of any changes in Race tire availability.
