LOL. That bears no resemblance to any sort of safe, legal, or competitive race car. I've never understood why people spend so much time and money to build something that they will just drive around a parking lot, if that.

Is he building this by just roughly coping what a formula car looks like or has he done the math for roll center, camber curves, etc?

He purports to be 'winging it'.

He's using a lot of Miata parts.

Can't wait to see the end result.

    Formula Miata...

This doesn’t even look safe enough to serve as a driving simulator

I love the guy's spirit. He is about 100 years behind his time, but having a blast building "the coolest car he owns".
If more people had is spirit, our formula car grids would not be shrinking.
And he is free from the limitations of being "period correct".

    Default strange car

This guy is a fairly good fabricator.....and I applaud his efforts.....but there are some obvious problems structurally.....like huge bending loads in the rod ends used for outer ball joints.....and loads fed into tubing where it will result in that tube flexing. The tubing is quite a bit thicker than needed so that probably is ok.
He seems to know something about suspension design.....but not enough.
Way to heavy for an F1000, but probably an ok track day car with some changes.
I wish there were more people like him. He is learning a lot and could be an asset to some prep shop or team.
