Default 1965 Beach MK 5 Formula Vee Project

    This has been sold.

$500 OBO for both the chassis and body. I need the room in my garage. Both are located in the Greater Pittsburgh Area.

This can handle a 1600 cc engine which would be a great start to build an autocross or hillclimb car.

I purchased the car to convert into vintage racing, but the chassis at some point was modified for hillclimb and it is not economical for me to restore back to its original state. So I am keeping any parts that can be used in vintage FV racing and what is left is the chassis and the body. The body is in great condition and the chassis is in good condition.

I have some other parts that I could provide with this such as front beam, oil cooler, shocks, shifter, steering wheel, started, steering box, exhaust, & other various parts.

    14.5 hours each way? Heck, that's a weekend road-trip.
And probably still cheaper than shipping.

    Bill, you have a PM.

I have a strong hunch you were the last known owner of the famous Cockroach MK1 (1977)

    Bill,
Are you thinking of building another one of these?

    Default Modifications?

Newby question... You say it was modified for hillclimb, making it unusable for Vintage FV... Could you please give me an idea of the major parts that were modified?

The chassis was modified and not original. It looks like it had a new front section and a new back section that were beefier than the original. My plan was to restore it as close to original and run in vintage class for the 60th anniversary of the FV.
