Certainly looks like a purpose built D Sports Racer chassis. I don't think that was ever a formula car.

Thought the rear may have been grafted in.
Looks pretty sophisticated for a home built.
Owner says it's a European chassis but has no log books or a chassis plate unfortunately .

Bought the car. Perhaps someone recognizes it. It was in the Los Angeles area. Have no idea when it ran last . Red Beasley body with R1 engine. The name Max came up as previous owner. Lots of unknowns with this car. I can say for sure its not stolen! Lol
