SkaytR6 Sports Racer SOLD
Designed as a fast, fun, reliable track day car that has done very well in the FSR class of racing with ICSCC (International Conference of Sports Car Clubs) in the Pacific Northwest with a 75 year old driver. This unique car was designed and built by John Rounds (Trick Solutions). Powered by a 2008 fuel injected and fly by wire Yamaha R6 (600cc).
Originally using 10" Formula 500 style wheels and tires. Carbon fiber rear wing. Recently converted to 13" wheels with larger rotors on the front and rear brakes moved outboard for better braking. Independent rocker arm suspension front and rear with 3rd spring on front suspension. No lift upshift and driver adjustable throttle blipper for down shifts. Cockpit adjustable brake bias. Left hand clutch operation and left foot braking. External fuel fill with custom funnel/air bleed to keep from overfilling. R6 instrument cluster for dash. Dual side radiators (VW) and custom coolant/oil intercooler. Wilwood 4 piston calipers on front with 2 piston rears. Fuel Safe red rubber fuel cell. Built for 6' 200# driver.
Low and high stands. Tire balancer. Quick Jack used at the front and custom quick lift jack for rear. Spare set of front wheels and pair of centers for the rear. 3 piece body plugs and outer body molds. Body easily taken off by one person.
The 2 side body molds can be set over the body of the car so they can be carried in the trailer and leave behind the 3 plugs. A mold of the existing center section would have to be made if desired.
Custom trailer also designed and built by John Rounds. Trailer is only slightly taller than the Chevrolet Astro van that tows it. The top of the trailer lifts up to allow easy access and great ventilation when parked. The trailer also tilts to allow easy loading/unloading of the car. Work bench and tire racks are built in. Side awning. Electric winch to load and unload easily by one person. Tire racks, storage for included side awning and work bench. Will sell trailer separately if trailer not wanted with car.
