Strange Facebook Marketplace

I just spotted a dry-sump Kent engine on Facebook marketplace. It says “Conditon-New” and it obviously isn’t. It looks to be Ivey burgundy color. It’s supposedly in Waterford Hills, MI for sale by a Christopher Kaser . He is asking $2,200. If it was legit he’s not saying any of the magic words, Ivey, iron head, FF uprated, etc.

I’m too far away to check it out but it looks wrong.

I think it’s legit, but he’s not a road race guy, and is sorting through some stuff he’s not familiar with.

Sounds like he recently acquired Dan Wyse’ property/home/shop, and Dan left everything behind.
Dan was Crossroads Fabrication and also built the Predator FV’s…

Yep, those are exactly the two options that prompted me to post it here: it’s stolen or being sold by someone that doesn’t know much about what it is. I’m a bit too far away to check it out myself.

I tried to look on FB Marketplace but couldn’t find a post/offering. If it is still up, maybe a screenshot or the phrasing used in the ad would help find it.

Looks like it could have been an Ivey at some point, may have some stampings.

I would be interested in the engine if you can make it out to look at it. Would be good starting point for my replacement car - especially if it is (was) an Ivey.
