    Default what a guy

I googled "Tatuus F3000" and this was the first thing that popped up: https://racingcarnetwork.com/race-ca...p-2022-winner/

    Still for sale, I guess...

Not sure, that for sale ad could be out of date, but equally, I don't think that's the first time one of Lewis' ads has used photos off the internet? Allegedly anyway

I guess his series that was "coming soon" with a bunch of old A1GP cars fizzled out. What a shock.

I am surprised he resurfaced. I never got that lawsuit he keeps threatening on on social media from time to time so I figured is Mexican restaurant buddies had him disappeared.

Also, IIRC "NAMA" was the name of his restaurant "group."

    Found this gem; https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=...50450991697633

Also found he has a few Facebook accounts. One of his accounts has posts that looks like someone who is not in touch with reality. I take no joy in that.

Couldn't we, as racers familiar with his "tactics" reply to all his ads with something like:
    1. Have you closed out any and all lawsuits against you and/or your company?
    2. How many lawsuits are pending against you and/or your company?

or something like that? Sometimes it takes a village to help a fellow racer but perhaps a village can get this guy to go away?

Changed his tactics a bit. Now he’s looking for someone to not only pay him but their transport…. Hmmm, what can go wrong with a deal like that!

It's a wild coincidence that every person who has any interaction with this guy quickly accuses him of being a grifter. Yet, Jon is always the victim, according to him. The F1000, F4, Fiat B-Spec, and now the restaurant deal - always claims to be the one getting screwed over.

(His partnership agreement with the 115% buy back is a nice little built in scam itself. He knows it's never going to pan out and manages to get a little for himself plus an interest free two-year loan once his con gets discovered.)

"Upon meeting in Playa, we learned that the owners of the restaurant we were gong (sic) to purchase changed the deal with (sic) was unfavorable."

It would appear that Jon Lewis now has a Mexican partner in his scam.

Messing with people in Mexico might not be the best choice. Lots of desert to hide things in or bury things. Maybe his time will come there. Just saying watch Narcos Mexico on Netflix.

You guys are underestimating the creativity and resilience required to be a con man in the 2020s.

As a much younger man, I once was trying to date several women simultaneously. The required lies and back-stories was just too much and I abandoned the plan after a few weeks, despite the enticing benefits.

With modern technology and social media, being a con man today seems unfathomable. The guy's perseverance is beyond my comprehension. And I have learned (from him) to dig several pages into a google search before doing business with strangers.

Going global with a new Mexican email handle is a new twist!

I did the same thing except I was up front with them and told them straight up I was dating other women.

    That didn't work either!

The last I heard of Mr Lewis he was in Mexico somewhere (probably drunk or half wasted) harpng a real sad story and trying to open a restaurant down there.

I did a combination of both in the 80's, as Mike can attest to. Except the up-front part was after I got snagged. Same outcome

Seems like he can't decide his series' name nor when the season starts nor how much it costs nor what car he's using.

    Compare this:
Formula America Super GP - Car Racing, Formula 4, Auto Racing (fasupergp.com)

with this from just 4 months ago via the Wayback Machine:
    Formula America Super GP (archive.org)

In just four months, the price per season went from $59,995 to $69,995, with the season starting in December, 2023 when it was October, 2023 just 4 months ago. The cars were the Mygale FB02 back in Feburary but are now the Ligier F4.

He seems to have lifted his F4 group picture from Racer.com's 2019 article on the then upcoming 2020 F4 season:

For what it's worth, that is a photo from a for sale ad for a Tatuus hillclimb car located in Spain. Not sure if it was sold to this guy or not, but I can think of no series that it would be eligible for that it would make sense except perhaps some catch all vintage event of some kind.

The car being eligible for anything, or even being owned by him is never part of the scheme. The only purpose it needs to serve is getting some sucker to write a check. Google images seems to be doing the trick.

We knew of a general contractor here in the Chicago area (XXXXX & Sons, Inc.) who broke his company into several "divisions" (sub-companies)...general construction, electrical, concrete, plumbing, etc.
They were known for substandard work & shady scam practices. Even featured on our local investigative news.
When one of the divisions was sued or criminally investigated, it would close & file bankruptcy. Then a month or two later, the same division would re-open under a new name and "new management". Then business as usual.
I guess the one over-exploited legal loophole of a corporation is the separation of personal liability...to a certain extent.

Yes, unfortunately there were many negative things said about me on that forum. 99% of the posts were from people who had no involvement in that series and had no clue as to the facts surrounding it. I thought about a rebutal, but you can never win a discussion on the internet. Many people assumed that I owned the series, when in fact it was owned by a retired marketing exec from one of my past sponsors who wanted to start his own series. I was just hired to design it and manage it. Our first event in Canada went very well with 14 drivers/teams running. All were amateur club racers and it was the first time they ever got to run in from of 36,000 spectators. Unfortunately, the owner of the series was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer while we were in Canada and given only a few months to live. He panicked and withdrew all the money from the series and left me with a series to run with no money. I tried my best to keep it going by finding sponsors, but being May most companies’ marketing budgets were sewn up for that year. The series folded without prize money paid and even I didn’t get paid. Formula Super GP is a completely different story. I am one of several ownership partners. I have invested a lot of time and money in this Championship and we have some very exciting sponsor announcements coming in the next few weeks. I have owned a very successful team for 35 years and unfortunately the posts on that forum about my involvement in the F1000 series did its best to damage my reputation, but people who actually know me, know better..

We’re all different of course, and some even more so.

But if a thread like this existed about me — anywhere — there’s no way in hell I wouldn’t defend myself.

Unless I'm mistaken, isn't that one of A.J. Foyt Enterprises' Indy cars in that photo?
Wonder how SuperTex would like that.

It is, and I wondered the very same thing... but also about the copyright holder.

Duties include browsing Google images for pics of random F4 cars to use in future advertisements. Probably not much else.

That’s a separate post that was above Jon’s in my Facebook feed.

    Default Caba Wabo Beach Club

So I know this will come as a shock to everyone. But I have it on good authority that Sammy Hagar's Cabo Wabo Beach Club has no affiliation with Jon Lewis or his series contrary to the wwwFASuperGP.com website. There was an affiliation many years ago running an Indy lights car. I see a C&D in Mr. Lewis' future.
