    Default Tire suppliers

Can anyone share their favorite suppliers for club racing tires for prototypes? I’d like to build a supplier list.

I’ve found just a few, but there’s not much info out there and the shop names seem to be primarily shared by word of mouth.

I can list the few shops I’ve identified so far, but I don’t want it to appear that I’m promoting anyone. I expect others would name them and then there wouldn’t be any concern about a conflict of interests.

    Thanks for your input!

Well, it’s been a few days and not much else, so I’ll just post up all the two suppliers I’ve found. If anyone can add, please do.
Roger Kraus Racing, California - https://rogerkrausracing.com/race-tire-pricing/
    Sasco Sports, Virginia - https://sascosports.com/tires.asp

I understand that often the supplier depends on the brand of tire, so I suppose if I find a particular slick that I want and these dealers don’t offer it, I can always email the company and ask who sells them.

I just purchased a 2014 Elan DP02 that I’ll primarily use for NASA club racing. I need to figure out what tires to run and where to get them. I’ll probably call Roger Kraus Racing and see what he recommends when the season starts up again.

    Thanks Dave and Patman.

I realize this is all very basic stuff, and I’ve arranged to have a local shop owner teach me the basics of the car and such, but I really haven’t found much online to help me figure out the lay of the land on running a prototype in an area where the SCCA doesn’t have an active presence. I work with aircraft, so I’m used to learning from parts lists and manuals as a part of getting started.

I found Hoosiers in my size (PFM sizes) aren’t listed on Hoosier west’s website but they’re available from others - perhaps they don’t have enough requests and it’s a special order.

Looks like going to the manufacturer’s website to get an overview of their offerings is a good approach. Here are a few, and this is easy to google for others and when these links become outdated:
    Goodyear: https://www.racegoodyear.com/tires/p...yers_Guide.pdf
    Hoosier: https://www.hoosiertire.com/assets/Circuit50.pdf
    Hankook: https://www.hankook-motorsports.com/...ts_Catalog.pdf
