"good way to go" in what context? not a lot of competition to run against compared to an FC or an FF? car is grossly uncompetitive when classed as an FA

For what I'm wanting to do (private sessions, track days, autocross, driver development, promotional opportunities for my sponsors) the PFM seems a good way to go. Although I am open to options and advice..... Not actually looking to compete right now, looking more towards developing driver for future. Looking at F1000, F4, PFM, FA. None seem to be available for long after they go up for sale.

    Default Pfm

PFM is the best bang for the buck.If you decide to run in SCCA in FA you will find many other PFM's and not very many real FA's.It is true is is a slower option but much less operating costs.

Private track rentals add up to big $ pretty fast, and have zero promotional value. A PFM may not be much quicker around an autocross course than FF - not nearly enough speed to learn about aero. Driver development would be most economically achieved through open track days and HPDE sessions, but many organizations discourage formula cars. How about a Miata?

While they are great "bang for the buck", I'd suggest they are crap for driver development. Anyone trying to competently drive a PFM needs to have lots of experience racing higher-g race cars.

    Default Pfm

    https://www.apexspeed.com/forums/for...ost&order=desc

There is a way to see ads that that are older

I’d think twice about jumping into one of those if you have no experience in open wheel. Some think an FF is a better training ground cuz you have aero helping you.
There is a reason almost every famous driver did FF before getting into a winged car.

I’m looking for a car for sale, you either have one or you don’t, you do not know me, my skill level, my racing history, my plans or my intentions. I am thankful for all the input and advice contained in this site, but clogging up my search post with unsolicited comments is not my purpose for interacting with this site.

well I don’t have a car but others do that you may not have been aware of. You said you wanted a car and I may or may not have directed you in the right direction. Nobody else had one for sale either but that didn’t piss you off did it?
I guess I pushed the wrong button as all the other comments advising you did not seem to set you off. You say you are thankful for the input and advice that you received, just not mine.
    Fair enough then.

Your comments didn’t set me off, and I didn’t care much for the others in truth. It just seems everyone is quick to add their comments in the “for sale” forum. This is a business for me and I am simply looking for available cars, and posting in the proper forum for such activity. If and when I need advice, I will definitely turn to this source of information and resources, but in the meantime, I’m just trying to see what is available for sale. No offense meant, and I do agree with your comments. But having to weed thru old ads that have been sold for years, or adds that are no longer for sale, or ads which simply go unanswered is time consuming enough as it is.

There’s one for sale in Costa Mesa, CA. I think I saw it when I was on Ferrari Chat or one of the Ferrari sales ads. It’s blue/white and an attractive brunette chick gives the info on it. I’ll see if I can find the ad again, and I’ll get you the info.

FYI, I bought one 2 years ago and love it for track days.

Yes, that one is on Ferraris online site. Already sold but a great breakdown of the cars features on that site. Appreciate the heads up though thanks
