    Default RaceTech Tachometer???

Hi All, I have a made in UK Racetech Green Face tachometer with tell tale. I've heard these are the same internals as vintage Smiths Tachometers- but have no idea.

I'm trying to find out what it might be worth? Thank you, Paul

    PS- I'll load photos soon.

    Default Tach

Its an electronic tach that raceparts sold in the late 80's early 90's (not sure past that). They were mostly sold to manufacturers - March used them in indy cars. I have a couple upstairs - just a case of finding the right guy. the 12000 rpm limits the number of potential buyers as it seems to put off the FF S2000 etc guys. I found that selling some used Stack tachs recently.

I think this is a mechanical tach, the face has the cable ratio of 4:1 on it.

Looks like a mechanical, but easy to confirm - if it has a screw on fitting for a cable it's mechanical; if it has wires it's electronic.

They're nice gauges and good for resto spec historic racecars!

    Default mechanical racetech tachometer

Hi All, it is definitely a mechanical tach- like Smiths. I would like to sell it if anyone knows a reasonable asking price. Thanks, Paul
