    Default Spark Electrical Source

    Gents;

    I have a “FAST” dizzy on my engine. Any clue what that is?

    Probably a trigger setup to work with some specific ignition system. Perhaps the engine builder can give you some clues or sell you the necessary parts to work with that.

    Looks a bit like a Bosch VW distributor

    Gents;

    FAST has the SP200 coil: 1.2 ohm and 41k+ volts. That’s my choice.

    Just make CERTAIN that you do NOT try to match that COIL with a 'normal' electronic ignition module that's not designed for it. The module will only last about 30 seconds.... (ask me how I know?) - 3+ ohms or more for most of the early versions of 'electronic points'.

    Steve;

    Thanks for the post. I did email Eric at QS, and this was his recommendation. Thx for the input.

    It's probably one of these conversions. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/fst-700-0001

    I have been running this system for years with great success after figuring out that pesky coil issue that others pointed out .
    legal in most series as it maintains the mechanical advance.
