It's a prior-generation F4 car from the German series. Built to the FIA F4 spec rules in place back at that time.
(Remember F4 USA came along late in the day relative to the other various European country series).

I doubt the claim of 180mph, unless the motor has been tweaked outside the F4 specs since it left that series.
Can't imagine where someone would run it in this country; maybe svra?

You could always run as a FS at SCCA regionals. You’d have to look if it could be legal for FA or FX

F4 cars are indeed legal in FX.

    See page 285 of GCR.

Its current 'home' is quite interesting as well... more so than the car. That view is incredible.. and 'polished marble' driveway? WOW. Listed as Ogden, UT - but that might not be where the pics were taken...

Doubt a trailer would be sitting on wet concrete. All the slabs look pretty shiny to me.
Never been to Ogden, but that house is nice & HIGH (relatively) wherever it is.

Is concrete somehow immune to rain?

    Is this about F4 cars?

Or troubling speculations and private info about a seller?

Dude - like I said, it took me less than 5 minutes on google. That's not private info by any means. It behoves a buyer to understand as much as possible about a seller.

    Predictable.

Nobody’s trying to sell a car here, nor said they want to buy this.

To speculate on a public forum that this guy “might be” a disgraced, woman-beating cop is intrusive without proof. We all know what’s online and buyers can check for themselves.

Edited to magnify the obvious question: What if it were you selling the car, and you were innocent?

IIRC, the FX ruleset refers to the 2015 version of the F4 spec. Would those rules encompass an F4 built in 2008 (per the ad)?

    That’s a great question, John...

The only reason I knew about F4 in FX was I screen-captured the page for a friend wanting to see eligibility of a SV in FX.

I just looked deeper, and you are correct. Looks like 2015 cars and after are the only F4s allowed.

If I remember correctly, when the same model car (2008 Dallara F4/VW) ran in Southwest Division nationals out of TX about 5 years ago it ran in FA.

This might be the same car as that one was for sale on Racingjunk a few years back out of TX for $24,500 without the trailer for a long time. The TX car was also red, white, and black No. 21.

The current FA rules do not include F4 in the list of included classes. The spec lines include F3 etc., but not F4. There is not a VW engine (the ADAC Formula 4 specified a 1.6L VW engine) in the list of allowed engines for FA.

The 2015 GCR, for example, again does not include F4 in its list of included classes. It does include an VW engine, SOHC up to 1835cc, in the list of allowed engines for FA, so the car might have fit in FA at that time. I do not know whether the Dallera met all the other 2015 FA requirements.

Bottom line: I do not believe that a 2008 F4 with VW engine would be eligible for FA today.
