Default Quick change brake systems at 2022 Lemans

Has anyone seen tech info on the quick change brake systems seen during the LM 24 broadcast this year?

How does the caliper mount to the upright?

How is the brake line handled, ordinary dry coupling fitting on some kind of dry release incorporated into the caliper mounting system?

I think this is more all encompassing than what Ford did 60 years ago.

They are replacing the caliper, pads and disc as one complete 'assembled' unit. Takes about 2 minutes to remove wheel, old assembly and replace with new assembly and reattach the wheel.

How do they not have to bleed the brakes? I’m assuming they are opening up the brake line?

They use a quick disconnect in the line. They disconnect one unit, remove, and reassemble with a new pre-bled assembly - in theory there should be no air introduced through this process.

    Default Le Mans Brakes

What most teams do is have a Staubli QD on the brake line and you remove the two bolts that radial mount the caliper to the upright.
Pull it straight off and refit a pre bled caliper/pads and discs. Pop wheel back on......................
It is possible on some calipers to pull the pads and the disc and bell can come off the pegs at an angle to rmove without touching the caliper.
Version one enables both sides to be done at the same time without the possibility of popping a piston. Pads have got so good now that Corvette did not change brakes at the 24 Daytona last year

Our F1000 car has rotors that just slide onto the hubs retained by the wheel. Caliper mounted with two studs. In theory if we had QD's we could do the same thing. Was it Audi about 10 years ago changed the whole back drive train and chassis in 6 minutes. Everything from the flywheel back.

Calipers are radial mounted and have a dry break fitting on the line. The hat slides over the drive pins. The replacement systems are pre-bled.
