Default FSV VW 1.6 Engine Rebuilds

Does anyone know where parts can be found for the 1.6l engine so that an operator can rebuild themselves? I know theres shops out there that can rebuild them, but I’d be more interested in saving some money and doing it myself. Not really finding much online through a Google search.

    Default SV Parts

I have quite a lot of SV engine parts. What specifically are you looking for?

Water pumper or air cooled? Harder and harder to find water pumper go fast stuff for 1600's; start with Scot L, above. Also, had good luck with Techtonics on west coast for stuff like bearings, springs, misc. stuff...Web cams had some decent offerings,.... K1 technolologies for rods/pistons (1800), and CHV Engineering in UK...... Kinsler for Lucas/mech. injection in US. May find a few things (adjustable cam sprockets for 8V) on Ebay, too.

Wayne Brown at Andy Green's (formerly Sav. Race Engineering...Ted Wentz) in Sav. Ga. has good kowledge building stout FSV stuff.....

We build alot of watercooled SV engines at Quicksilver, however we do not keep alot of parts for those instock. Those engines are all so very different stocking parts would be very hard.
