    Default Elden Mk8 Formula Ford

    $5,500 I need room in the garage.

    A change in direction makes this Elden Mk8 Formula Ford roller available. The car is dissembled, the frame ready for paint and then reassembly can begin. Includes a race ready Hewland Mk9 transmission that was just gone through. All new rod ends are installed on the suspension pieces. The frame was updated to allow the use of a Hans device Note; in the pictures, the orange #6 is a sister car.

    Complete information is as follows:

    1972 Elden Mk-8 AM73 13 (Last raced in 1989)
    · Frame is stripped & ready for media blasting and painting
    · Hewland Mk9 transmission. Transmission was gone through and refreshed by Archie Hodge of R&A Mfg. (Renton, WA) in Feb,
    2022. Archie reported the 9.31 CWP looked new
    · New belly pan (uninstalled)
    · Frame and belly pan are drilled. Holes in pan haven’t been countersunk
    · All suspension pieces, uprights, A-arms, pedal assembly, etc. have been media blasted and painted
    · All suspension pieces have been fitted with new high quality QA1 rod ends
    · Spindles, uprights and spline yoke shafts have been magnafluxed and are okay
    · Custom-made, unused fuel cell from AeroTech Service
    · Aluminum fuel cell cover
    · Front and rear sway bars
    Shift linkage
    · Elden Mk8 radiator
    · Oil cooler
    · Steering wheel, shaft, universal joint and steering rack
    · Swirl pot
    · Oil filter mount
    · Motor mounts
    · A set of original Dunlop steel wheels
    · Original Smith gauge’s
    · Four calipers. May/may not be rebuidable
    · Three master cylinders. May/may not be rebuidable
    · Two new Mk-8 noses
    · Two new lower body side panels
    · Center cowl section
    · Engine cover
    · Original shocks. Will need to be rebuilt
    · Original springs
    · Two half shafts
    · Original brake lines are present and usable but could also be used as a pattern
    · Original seat, built for someone who is slender
    · Original headrest
    · A new oil tank should be fabricated or replaced with a rear mounted tank. I have the old oil tank for a pattern
    · A radiator shroud or mounting struts will need to be made
    · Previous owner says he knows he has the log book but candidly hasn’t had to the time to do the search
    · Miscellaneous bits and pieces
    · New belts and fires system will be needed
    Items such as wheel bearings, hoses, and other small items will need to be acquired
    A complete set of deconstruction pictures on a flash drive is available
