    Default Honda Data cable question

I'm putting togather an FF with a Honda engine and have most of the bits to finish up the project. When I recieved the main chassis harness there was a connection to add a smaler 4 pin connection that will be attached to the data system. I don't see a harness in the Honda parts list and HPD didn't know how to help me. The picture below is the data cable in my current FF that has a Honda engine. Any advice on who supplies them ? There is no part number on the harness to refference.

Its been a few years since I went through the same thing but I believe HPD used Tyco/TE Connectivity connectors for the harness, specifically I think it is a CPC mini connector for that one. You have to make the pigtail that goes from the connector on the main harness to your DAQ. For my MXL I just picked a random 4 pin connector on the DAQ side because it was still bare wires. The upper connector in your second pic looks like the Binder connectors used by AIM but that is a total guess.

This is the 4 pin female CPC mini connector for example (I dont remember if male or female is on the main harness slide):

For reference this is the Binder connector used by AIM on MXL for the CAN expansion.

Thanks Matt, that gets me a lot further than I have been so far.

    Default Honda Data cable question

We can help with either a mating connector with flying lead pigtail or you can send us the AiM CAN ECU cable for your system and we'll terminate it to whatever length you need. I'm guessing that you have an EVO4, EVO4S or possibly an XG Log based on the second photo which shows a metal 712 Binder connector. The price is $25.00 for either option.

Feel free to give us a call at the phone number listed below to discuss further or email me at ellen@veracitydata.com.
