Default Jim Stark Memorial Roebling Road April 23/24

I just checked the entries today and a month before the race weekend we already have 8 FCs entered. I know of at least a couple more Southeast FC racers who are conspicuously absent from this entry list, so c'mon folks...

It may not be a part of his series this year (it was the Quartermaster Classic for a few years) but I say let's make Brad proud of the FC turnout.

It is a double SARRC at a great facility. The weather is normally very pleasant. We are an early group (2) so even folks from South Florida and other distant locales in the SEDiv (or even some of you MARRS drivers!) can make it home on Sunday at a sensible hour. There is even a reasonably priced test day on the 22nd.

    We have 8 entries so far, do I hear 9? 10? 11? 23?

I encourage everyone to attend if they can.
My memories of the Jim Stark are of the biggest, and funiest race on the SARRC calendar. One could finish drivers school in February, maybe go to Road Atlanta in March. and then Jim Stark.
Fun track, great weather, and Buccaneer Region works hard to make it a great event.
It can also have life altering effects on one's life. In my case it was where I first was introduced to Jim Morgan.

My apologies to the FV drivers out there. I should not have made any derogatory remarks about a fellow racer's choice of vehicle.

Everyone should have an opportunity to race without interfering with other classes. To that end, I applaud the Buccaneer Region's recent email to all competitors pledging to keep dissimilar performance cars of all types from being grouped together.

    Thank you Buccaneer Region.

All in good jest! No real offense taken. Don't get me wrong: I get that we are the slowest class in all of SCCA. It's just as frustrating for us (always having to look in our mirrors) as it is for y'all (always having to pray that we see you and make room for you). I also applaud the region for the groupings we have for this race. I hope enough of us show up to validate their efforts. In the end, we all want the same thing. Cheers!
