Default F1000 is doing great in FA

For anyone who thought F1000 would suffer when scca dumped it into FA.......think again.

F1000s are frequently winning majors (and super tour) races......Sebring and Cota already this year.....and yes against "real" Atlantic cars!

At Sebring, Shane Prieto is really close to FA track record....and has won overall there more than once. Nathan Byrd won the Jan Majors.

Nathan Byrd, Jose Gerardo, and Shane Kennet were all well below JR Osbornes original F1000 track record at cota last month. Nathan won overall both days in a tight battle with Jose. The "real" Atlantics were not able to hold them off.

Jose and Nathan did this with bone stock 08 suzuki engines. Nicho Vardis has won overall more than once....including at Mid Ohio....again with bone stock 08 suzuki.......so you don't need to spend a ton of money on new or built engines to compete locally.

With a built engine Alex Mayer qualified third and was leading the FA race at the runoffs last year.... but a 2nd lap accident ruined the chance to prove an F1000 can win the runoffs in FA. (built engine is legal in FA.....all else original F1000 rules.).

MORE GOOD NEWS.......The North American Formlula 1000 Championship is putting on some really good races running with Formula Race Promotions.
The first race is April 1st weekend.....and 10 drivers have already committed. More are expected. Last year 13 showed up.

If you want to run in a group with no more than one other class....and sometimes with only F1000.....come join in the fun!

Full race schedule.....and lots more information is available at NorthAmF1000.com
