    Default Rimac Valve Spring Tester

    Gents;

    I have a 250# Rimac valve spring pressure tester. I will send it in to be restored, but is 250# adequate for FF and FC?

    Default Probably

    Don't know about the 2L Pinto, but Jake said 70-75 on the seat and 175-180 at full lift for the 1600.
    There is a glitch in the continuum...

    Bob;

    Thx.

    Checked out Pegasus, and found this:

    “These full-racing valve springs fit the 2.0L Ford SOHC "Pinto" engine. Full set of 8 (enough for one engine).
    36mm installed height, approx. 65 pounds seat pressure and 165 pounds pressure at full lift. These springs are designed specifically for engines prepared to SCCA FF2000 (non-Zetec) and Sports 2000 racing rules. They are optimized for SCCA-legal camshafts (10.5 to 11.2mm lift). These springs are not for use with high-lift camshafts. They will go into coil bind when compressed to approximately 24mm.”
