    If you have any find (that's 'KIND') of 'ELECTRONIC' ignition, that is a BAD NO NO!! Be careful You can burn up a LOT of pretty expensive stuff that way if electronic...

    If it still runs .. it's OK :-). If the 'points closure effect' is CLOSED with the engine off and the ignition ON, THAT'S when everything gets fried. It generally only takes a few seconds to KILL everything (at least the module). I'd guess .. maybe 30 seconds to a minute before the internal guts of the electronic points heats up too much. Kill a couple of those Pertronix modules and that starts to become REAL MONEY!
