    Default Polishing alloy sheet......

    Hi folks,

Its time again to shine up the monocoque of the 492. I hate this job. Is there anything I can use product-wise that would reduce the amount of time hand-polishing?

    Thoughts?

3M Marine Aluminum Restorer and Polish - Part Number 09020.
Clean rags and your intern's elbow grease will do a very acceptable job.

My last boat had polished aluminum Center Console supports looks great from a distance when the sun hits it and blinds you it ain't so cool.
My current boat the supports are powered coated in white. I use Marine Spray Nine good for blood.

We've used a LOT of Autosol (with Thai labor) on the boat's stainless - it is magical for that. For Aluminum , my go-to is GIBBS Penetrant. There was a guy that had an all aluminum van - no paint, no anodize just Gibbs - sparkled like that Mallock.

    Cheers - Jim
