Last year, I was referred to Scott Young (formerly of Taylor Race Engineering) for a Mk9 gearbox rebuild. I was pleased with the results & his willingness to discuss technical details. His website is --

    https://www.sy-gearboxes.com/

My understanding is that Taylor Race Engineering have retired from that type of work. This seems to be validated by their website no longer mentioning gearbox rebuild services.

Some computers can not connect to his site but the site is up. Scotty knows of the issue but no resolution yet.

    No issue opening in Chrome.

When my son made my website (his first build at 16 years old), he found that browsers worked differently so he had to make sure everything was compatible with the 3 major ones used. There was an issue early but he figured it out. All that to say that if you're having trouble, try another browser.

Scott Young Enterprises is rebuilding my MK9 right now. Scott has taken very good care of me in the past. I have complete confidence in their abilities.

    Hey thanks Guys ..
    I appreciate the nice words

Many of you know I started my own shop a little over two years ago .
Since then I have become the #1 Hewland importer for Classic Gearboxes ( H pattern)
    anything from MK to LG.

I brought on Mick Mannion last year . He was my service manager at the old place .
We where just talking about this last week and we figure 98 combined years in the racing business.
We just finished Gearbox #112 on Monday

Scott’s great. Needed a quick turn around for a replacement clutch slave master cylinder. That’s after I spoke with him and he provided me his input on what was wrong. I then Fedxed the part, he rebuilt it and had it in the mail to me the same day he worked on it. Awesome support!!! Thanks Scott.
