    Default Stack ST867 Dash Disassembly

    Gents;

    I bought an ST867 Stack dash with a broken tempered glass faceplate. I sent it to Stack/Autometer to have said faceplate replaced, but was advised that the dash needs to be replaced, that there was nothing they could do.

    I get the business model, but this system works and has value. So I have elected to disassemble the head and replace the glass myself. I took the back plate off, but have no clue as to removing the cluster to reveal the faceplate.

    Is there anyone out there willing to guide me through this no-mans land of my of my own good intentions?

    When I was playing around with mine, I believe the glass is glued around the edge (probably with a double sided tape) to create a waterproof seal. If you get to the point of trying something, I would use a heat gun and see if the glass lifts

    good luck with your project, looking forward to seeing what you find out
