Does anyone know where I can find an older F2000 photo of a car getting airborne? I recall it was a head on photo, with the car a good 12-16 inches in the air where you could see the belly pan.

I remember seeing a Swift DB6 completely airborne but it was more 3/4 front view and probably less than a foot off the ground. I'll search my computer when I get home.

I have a feeling you're looking for Mike Andersen going over a curb - head on, level with all four wheels in the air.

It was on the Formula Continental Facebook Group page.

Road Atlanta exit of T3. 2005 Cooper Series I believe.
Mike was a talent. No question.
Not the recommended way to take the corner. Worked for him, because he went on with that lap.
I tried it in 2014, my suspension broke. I spun into a massive tank slapper, bruised three ribs.
I recommend climbing the inside curbs with your right tires, and not the outside curb with your left tires. just saying,
As a side note, in 2000 John Fergus passed me on the inside of T3... with his left tires on the curbing of the inside of the turn. (note: its a right turn)

Based on the PMs I have received, I could see this turning into the "show us your best Top Gun impression" thread.
Post 'em if ya got 'em.
Years ago (like in the first few years of this site) there was one of a car that had bottomed and the pan was peeled back several inches.
I'd say that was me, but well before my time. Happened on my 92FF at Blackhawk. A driver lost power and didn't want to get his shiny car dirty by driving through the grass so he coasted through the middle of T3 (a very fast carousel). I didn't see him as it's a bit blind and had to avoid by going straight off at full speed. Caught the leading edge under the front bulkhead and peeled it back past my heels. Pedals were "fine" but I lost my heel stop. Finished 2nd to Coello.

An unfortunate incident for me this March at Hallett. Another FC understeered placing his front left tire in front of my right rear tire while exiting the turn called the Bitch. Aptly named that afternoon.
Turn 7 at Blackhawk. Embee Lindstrand was there to capture the sequence of events.
