FC Car Info

My son is moving from FF and we are considering FC.

He is 5'10" and in good shape but not a skinny kid.

I would like some feedback (positives/negatives) on the car manufacturers.

I see RFR racing but do not see where to get parts etc. unlike Van Diemen which seems to be generally available.

Any car leads would also be appreciated.

Ralph Firman was the designer at Van Diemen Most chassis are referred to as RFyy until 2008?
when Elan made the DP08.

The most popular car in FC is the VanDiemen - RF99 and on with a Zetec motor.
Most of us get parts from Primus:

There are several drivers in your neighborhood.
Peter West runs the PacificF2000 (http://pacificf2000.com/) group and usually has a handle on cars for sale.
Tom Hope and Dave Freitas both run teams in SoCal.
