    Default Clutch Question

In the spirit that no question is a dumb question.............non -tapered side to the flywheel, tapered side to the pressure plate...correct?

    Yes.

I think if you reverse it the tapered side of the 'hub' will contact the flywheel before the disc surface.

That’s the way I cross check. Hand hold the parts together.

Flat side to the flywheel for flywheel bolt clearance if need be .
Cone side facing the gear box .

Default "Tightening these clutch cover bolts just don't feel right."

One is perhaps likely to make this mistake just one time; although in my case that remains to be seen.

    (It is a $100.00 mistake...)
