Yes.
I think if you reverse it the tapered side of the 'hub' will contact the flywheel before the disc surface.
Flat side to the flywheel for flywheel bolt clearance if need be .
Cone side facing the gear box .
One is perhaps likely to make this mistake just one time; although in my case that remains to be seen.
(It is a $100.00 mistake...)
