Default Pacific F2000 money for Runoffs

    Racers,

Here is some news for you. Pacific F2000 registration for the SCCA Runoffs at Indianapolis Motor Speedway Spt. 25 through Oct. 2 is open. Go to pacificf2000.com and follow the link to sign up. The registration site will ask you to register for a double race (that is what you should select) although there is only one race. This race will have limited registration. You MUST register with Pacific F2000 to be eligible for prize money. You also MUST have previously raced with Pacific F2000 in the F2000 class to be eligible for prize money. You MUST take the green flag on track at the start of the race. Prize money will be as follows: 1st place $2000, 2nd place $1500, 3rd place $1000, 4th place $700 and 5th place $500. These prizes are for your position within the registered Pacific F2000 drivers, not overall. In other news, our season finale at Buttonwillow has been moved from Nov. 13th and 14th to Oct. 30th and 31st due to delays in the new track construction. I am fairly certain we will be close to 20 cars for this event. Registration for this event is open to anyone with a legal FC car. To be fair to those not going to the Runoffs, we will be paying equivalent money at this event. Since this will be a double header the payout will be $1000 to win each day, $750 for 2nd, $500 for 3rd, $350 for 4th and $250 for 5th. Also, we will be presenting our beautiful year end awards at the track during this event. For those of you who have not been to Buttonwillow that often, the weather is usually great at the end of October. I look forward to seeing you at the track.
