    Default Premix amount per gallon

So what’s the consensus of how much oil to mix with the race gas? Starracecars recommends between 1 and 2 ounces per gallon. What is everyone doing?
Also, what brand of 2 stroke oil? Synthetic or Castrol or ????

I did 1oz/gallon of Sunoco 98GTX. I used Idemitsu pre-mix developed in Japan specifically for the motor.
I don't suspect anyone did enough testing to know if there's any difference on engine wear between 1 or 2oz. RPMs you choose to sustain and shift at will have the most effect on wear.

My brother and I used to run a periphal port, idemetsu is the best, and 1 ounce per gallon as 2 it starts to lean out your mixture

I usually do about 1.5 haven't really been picky on what 2t oil I use, I think most racers go closer to 1 as less oil prob means slightly more combustion and power but it will also wear the engine faster.
