    Default !#@%&#! Stupid trailers

I haven't gotten another trailer since the old one burned in the fire. For the last event, we borrowed a ginormous open car trailer. It took 3 people 2 hours using ramps under the rear wheels of the truck, various lengths of ramps and some 2x4s. But, that trailer wasn't available this weekend.

So, I decided to rent a utility trailer from U-Haul. The bed is 12' by 6'3". Plenty of room. The car is about 65" wide. I go to pick up the trailer, get all the paperwork done and hitch it up. John goes around the rear of the trailer and says, "We can't get the car in here. The opening is too narrow." Sure enough, the ramp and opening in the rail is 56". So, John is running his Subaru in STU at our Midiv event. After the first day, he does have a nice lead.

When I sold an FC we lifted it over the narrow opening. We had 4 guys though.

It might be able to be done with an engine hoist.
