    Default Voltage issue

    Hello all
Need some help on an issue. Our Honda engine is putting out 14volts at the alternator, but while reading the computer with the car running the ECU is only reading 11.4 volts and the car has a bad miss off of idle. This is on a spectrum car.
    Thanks
    Sean

I am not familiar with that issue. I would first check that the ballast resister wiring is not broken. That is two of the small wires on the master switch. Not the two for the injector circuit. One of those wires goes to a ballast resistor and then to ground and effects the transition between battery and alternator voltage .... if I recall correctly.

We once had the thick cable from the alternator to the starter be wonky. No stumbling, but it would not charge.

    Default check ECU

I had a new (1st gen) ECU that had an issue with the firmware where it was reading the voltage lower than actual. If you have access to a known good ECU try swapping to confirm your voltage readings.
