Default 09 Pro Formula Mazda Motec M400

    Hello,

I have a 09 PFM and we just did an engine rebuild. All sensors are hooked up and sensor diagnosis all looks good. We can hard wire to the fuel pump so we know there is power there but when we turn on ignition it does not turn on and the Motec dash is reading zero volts. We use a jump box to start. The engine turns over but will not start. Is it possible the ECU M400 is no good and is there a way to test the ECU box? Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

    Brandon Reed.

Assuming you are connected to the ECU using the UTC (USB-to-CAN) adapter. On the Sensors page, what is the RPM when cranking?

If you go to the Diagnostic Errors page, can "Reset Errors" what what errors show up while cranking. Try reseting errors after you start cranking -- now what errors are you getting?

If you go to the status page, what is the status of "Ignition Switch" at the top of the second column. Does it change as expected?

    Thanks Dave,

this is something we will have to check and I can let you know. We are using the UTC/CAN adapter.
