    Post Let's go racing! RCFFS April 30 - May 2 @ Mid-Ohio

Spring has arrived and with it - racing in the Northeast! What better place to race than with RCFFS at the great track of Mid-Ohio starting April 30th?

This is a FRP race weekend with the RCFFS run group for only Formula F cars (FF, Formula Ford, CF, HF) of all configurations. This is the place and race to running in with lots of Formula F cars. No catch-all class races here like we experience at other venues. If you have a Formula F car, you need to be here at Mid-Ohio to race on the legendary Mid-Ohio course with a great fun loving, hard racing group. Again, this is a RCFFS race weekend with FRP and it doesn’t get any better than that!

Mid-Ohio is a fun place to race and historically a great natural terrain road course that has seen everything from the SCCA Runoffs for years to CanAm cars to current Indy cars and everything you can imagine. A real classic.

For those of you who have already registered, thank you! If you haven’t, please click and sign up now. We look forward to seeing your entry on the MotorsportsReg list. Remember, you can register without needing to commit to the registration fee until wheels are on-track.

Practice day is Friday, April 30th with two 25 min practice sessions
Qualifying session is Saturday morning May 1st (25 min)
Racing starts Saturday afternoon with two more races on Sunday

Total track time is 2.5 hours!

We're planning to have our usual three “micro" classes again - CF Treaded, CF Slicks, and FF - giving all types of Formula F a chance to win. If needed, SCCA Annual Tech Inspections will be available to competitors at the event. Registration links, the schedule, and other useful items are on our website. We’ll post other details and items as they become available.

Just a reminder that RCFFS is a series for drivers by drivers. If you need help getting onto track, there are folks who can help you. Whether it’s needing a part or finding the gremlin in the engine, there are people who can help you both now and at the track.

As always this is an inclusive race event catering to Formula F cars (FF, Formula Ford, Club Ford (CF), Historic/Vintage Ford (HF)) of all configurations and drivers of all ages with minimally demanding requirements - slicks, treaded tires, Kent, Cortina, or Honda power. So invite friends to race with you!

Looking forward to seeing you there. Sign up now! Just do it - you'll be glad you did.

Come out and play with us,

It was a great event! Had a lot of fun, despite my spins in every freaking race.....

BTW, I found that my FL shock wasn't holding pressure. I think that as the race went on, the reaction of this shock became less predictable, which is what I'm going to blame the spins on.

Hey Garey, I didn’t realize you were there this weekend. Would have been good to see you again. Were you running the Z16? Or something else?

    Hi Brad,
I kept meaning to stop and say hi when I chatted with James Lee but I had also brought me 13 year old son, first time we were at a race without my older son! I was in the Red/White DB6 in the RCFFS race, still knocking some rust off and figuring out how to get my car quicker on radials.

I'm hoping to bring a Vintage FF to Barber so perhaps I'll remember to say hi there!
