    Default Help, Elite Gearbox

I picked up an unused Elite gearbox as part of a project and I am selling the box, but the customer is in Germany and I have to get it to 70 lbs. or less.

To do that I have to get the gear stack out of the box.

I looked on line and it says I have to put the gearbox in position 5/R. I am assuming that the plunger on the side is the reverse actuator, what is the movement? Do i have to get into neutral before I put it in reverse? How do you get it in neutral? I can change gears by rocking the actuator but cant find neutral.

Any help would be most appreciated.

You click the actuator clockwise all the way to 5th gear, then pull the reverse lockout plunger, and click one more time. This locks trans in 5th and R. Remove the 2 covers to access the layshaft and pinion shaft nuts; one is a left hand thread and the other a right hand.
