Default Formula Fords at VIR, 22 and counting !!.....

Still time to sign up, 22 entries with 8 Historic !

The following is from Storm Field's newsletter to the FFCS....

    No Wild Hare-brains

I don't know if we can emphasize it enough, but because of last year, not many of us put a wheel on a track. Even those of us who did manage to race once or twice have plenty of rust to work off too. With that in mind we will start this seasons opener with practice sessions on Friday and again Saturday am with races on Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon.

Lets look out for each other out on the track. Don't anyone "be that guy." The win at all costs, over aggressive driver who puts others safety at risk. This is vintage racing. We do it for the fun, for the challenge, to be able to hang out with our friends...not for trophies or prize money. So, no dive bombing at the corners, be safe and act safe.

Also, in the vein of safety, we will be following the FFCS rules regarding roll bars. Some of you were tested at the 2020 Glen meeting and if you passed, it should be noted in your logbook. If not we will have you buckling into your cars to make sure you meet the standards as listed in our rules.

Because of the existing Covid rules we will enter everyone in all the raffles and when we pick the winners will let you know via text or email. If there are raffles you don't want to enter (maybe you don't want a new set of tires...) let us know and if we chose you, we will pick again for another winner. By the way, we will be selling extra chances for the Hoosier tire raffles, so see us if you want to increase you chances of winning a new set for this year.

There will be no BBQ, sorry...maybe later in the year and importantly, our Drivers Meetings will be done virtually until it's safe for us to gather together again. These meetings are mandatory...we talk about things that can't be talked about too much and yet, as much as we talk about them, we unfortunately find there's always someone who doesn't listen. Click on the button below to "attend" the meeting.

Lastly, Allan and Su have come up with some great new FFCS regalia, shirts, umbrellas, patches and hats, which they will have at VIR. You will find them in the garage at pit in and they will also make you some great deals on older regalia we'll be phasing out, so visit them and get rid of some of that pesky cash.

Stay safe and see you soon!
