Default Let's go racing! RCFFS event at CMP April 1-3

    Hello, fellow Right Coast drivers:

Happy March! No fooling, we go racing in a month. Load-in starts at 5pm on March 31 at Carolina Motorsports Park (CMP) near Kershaw, SC. It’s about 1 1/2 hours south of Charlotte, NC and 2 1/2 hours north of Charleston, SC.

    Register today!

For those of you who have already registered, thank you! If you’re considering racing with us at CMP please sign up now so we can plan accordingly for trophies, etc. Remember you can register without needing to commit to the registration fee.

The track is newly paved so a new track record can be set by you. Test Day is Thursday, April 1 with 2 hours of track time for a separate fee. For the race entry fee, you get two 25 min practice sessions on Friday, April 2, followed by a 25 min qualifying session on Friday afternoon, and 3 races on Saturday, April 3. Total track time of 4 1/2 hours is available!

We will once again be with Formula Race Promotions (FRP) and following a schedule similar to our previous seasons. This a new track for FRP to host races on so it may be your first time here and give you the opportunity to test your race skills. We're planning to have three “micro" classes again - CF Treaded, CF Slicks, and FF. If needed, SCCA Annual Tech Inspections will be available to competitors at the event. Registration links, the schedule, and other useful items are on our website. We’ll post other details and items related to these special times as they become available. It is anticipated that the same FRP COVID-19 guidelines as last year will be applicable - masks, social distancing, hand hygiene, etc. They are effective in keeping us all virus free.

Just a reminder that RCFFS is a series for drivers by drivers. If you need help getting onto track, there are folks who can help you. Whether it’s needing a part or finding the gremlin in the engine, there are people who can help you both now and at the track.

As always this is an inclusive race event catering to Formula F cars (FF, Formula Ford, CF, HF) of all configurations and drivers of all ages with minimally demanding requirements - slicks, treaded tires, Kent, Cortina or Honda power. So invite a friend to join you!

Look forward to seeing you there. Sign up now!

    Stay healthy and safe,
Angela Slocum, David Gernert, and Will Velkoff

Yes. The event (and all FRP events) is serviced directly by the factory.
