I've been lucky enough to see Herbie a dozen times or more in concert, and he always amazed me - and now, with this one-of-a-kind Cobra, he amazes me even more!
Wow, never got to see him... Stanley Clarke, yes, and Jean-Luc Ponty (a lifetime fave), and even Weather Report once — but sadly, post-Jaco Pastorius.

Related, perhaps you heard Chick Corea just died. Sad.
Chick was also a favorite. Got to see him a dozen or so times as well with Return to Forever, thankfully mostly when Dimeola was still playing with them. Pastorius with Weather Report always just blew me away.
Hard to believe that Herbie is now 80 years old - he looks like he could be maybe 50.
