    Default Rear upright ID

Got another box of stuff after my earlier post. These uprights may tell me what all these parts are from. No markings. Seems like something from late 1960's based on the Mk6 and Mk8 gearbox parts it was with.

I got a hint today regarding these and other parts I recently acquired. This end cover was originally sold to David Lazenby (Hawke) in April 1971. Maybe these uprights are from a Hawke? The DL5 FSV for sale seems to have different rear uprights so maybe these uprights were for the DL8 FSV? Maybe the DL9 FF?

Still trying to ID these. My friend confirmed they are magnesium.

They look solid, not hollow? Could be DIY replacement for a broken upright. Almost looks like a Royale (geometry wise) but the top arm doesn’t ‘reach’ far enough to be a replacement.

    Good luck!

    edit.....
Early SuperVees would have a VW stubaxle and CV joint so I would say it is FF

Thanks John. May be FF but I didn't think there were any mag rear uprights in FF, especially not that early.
    Yes, they're hollow.

Mag (or probably more likely electron) uprights were pretty common in early cars. My Royale uses them and that casting dates back to the RP2 FF.

i didn’t see any core openings, that is somewhat unusual.

    Garey,

Hawke FF's use fabricated steel uprights.

    Good luck, Joe
