    Default Looking for Banshee Front Left Upper A Arm

    Hello, I recently purchased a Banshee BTF and I am in the middle of tearing it down for a rebuild. I noticed that the front left upper A arm's chrome started pitting badly by the upright attachment point. The previous owner must have left it out of the tarp covering it or something. Pitting has gone into the base metal and I don't think this would be safe to race with. I have someone lined up to try and fabricate a new A arm but I figured I ask if anyone has one before I give him the go ahead.

    I'm located in PA

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

    HAHA yes, working on it at the moment. I think it will be ready in time for spring.

    Bobbie is somewhere in the Carolinas.
    After AJ passed the majority of the Banshee Inventory was relocated to "Cappy's" Shop.
    I'm confident if he doesn't have one he'll know who does.

    from this distance, I think you can repair this part

    then swap the arms side to side

    my two cents

    Well guys I have someone building an arm for me. I will keep the pitted one as a back up. I agree, I don't think its nearly as bad as I thought. Now I have a whole other issue. I pulled the left bank head and cylinders to re-seal and lap the valves and generally check the motor out. All was well, went to the right bank....Dammit someone left a snapped head stud in the mag engine block. I tired everything to get it out. Easy outs, extractors, even make a jig plate to try and drill and left hand tap it with an m6 screw. Ended up breaking the tap. I am afraid to try to weld a nut to it for fear of igniting the magnesium. Looks like I'm going to have to pull the case apart and get it out on my CNC mill. Pretty big disappointment. The car was almost done. I hope to be able to just bore it out and pull the case saver in one piece. Slim chance though.
