Default 1982 Morgan Vogan Formula Vee

This popped up semi-close to where I live and I am thinking about going and taking a look at it. Does anyone have any more info on it?

The only other info that I could find is here:

I guess what I am curious about is how difficult would it be to go back road racing with it?

Pretty cool car, but definitely very skewed toward the solo discipline. Buying a proper FV for 2 or 3 times more, would be better value IMO. For 1/4 or 1/2 the asking price, it may be a good "parts" car for a FV racer.

At the time the car was sold from Wichita to Florida, it was a competitive F Mod. SoloVees are now in CMod. Since it was sold there have been many rule changes allowing for disk brakes, rack and pinion steering, coil over front suspension and more. Even with the rule changes, SoloVees are not really competitive at the national level with the formula f cars. It would cost thousands of dollars to bring the car up to the current rules. As it sits, with a new engine it could be a FDT car in most regions. It will certainly be a fun car to drive.

Depending on the builder, a really good 1915cc engine should cost about $4000. A new set of tires will be about $1000.

If you are looking to road race a FV, take Greg's advice and buy a road race legal car. If you want to be nationally competitive in C Mod, buy a solo prepared FF, such as https://www.apexspeed.com/forums/sho...and-Trailer-IL

Some do. Mine did but I removed it. I found no difference in handling.

Because it's not a zero roll car?

They want to be able to easily tune the roll resistance at the rear to some number greater than zero.
Perhaps the size bar they wanted to run in the front made it a push-pig in an autocross setting and they needed to introduce some additional roll resistance in the rear for desired balance.
