    Default F1000 Pro Series

For 3 years between 2010 to 2012 I worked as Adminstrator for the F1000 Pro Series. Marking the 10th anniversary of the begining of that series I just wanted to post some photos from that time and tell everyone who was involved how great it was to be a part of the series. Those were some truely great times, the early days of F1000.

I've exceed my limit for posting photos but will try and put some more on tomorrow. I got lot of great photos from the series.

Costs drove us out but we loved it imo engine development costs were too much for our budget but there were other factors too. Loved the class, still do!

I am all for seriously restricted engine rules. Am i wrong?

Yes it was all stock block engines however the factories were in full competitive development mode with each manufac manufacturer doing a new motor every year and we could not keep up with that deal. The reality is that the development surge is overbut now the engines are imuch more fragil now and guys are now swapping parts from various years so engine cost are again way too high imo. If the revs an power were limited and limited years allowed we would be back asap
    Thanks ... Jay Novak

    Default engines

    IMHO
The class was great and I feel that if we could have stayed together as a group then
it would still be a Major class today, but with the conflict with pushing for FB to have it's own race group in SCCA
instead of racing with other wings and things caused a lot of the cars to move to racing regionals instead
therefor dropping car count at the Majors, (Regionals do not count for car count for a National or Majors
class), so now what we see is FB is gone and the Pro Series struggling to get car count back up. YES I am a FB owner
and ran the Runoffs at Indy in 2017 in both FB and P2 (same car). I also believe that if you restrict the engines to any engine
newer than 2008 to have throttle body MM restrictors of some sort to control cost and HP that also would have helped.
But that is history now and FB is with FA in SCCA and at the Pro Series FB is with FA but neither class has a GOOD car count.
Some times FB is with F2000 (wings and things) GO FIGURE!!!

i am a 45year member and 5 time National and Major Divisional Champion in 5 different classes FF-FM-CSR-DSR-P2 and 5
different cars so i do use bike motors.
