    Default Rev Limiter?

Does anyone run a rev limiter like an MSD SoftTouch? Are they even legal for FV? Or does a vee wee even need a rev limiter?

    Default Rev Limiter

Bosch made a rotor that you could install in the distributor that when it spun fast enough, the rotor would stop making contact with the terminals for the plug wires. I do not remember anyone running a rev-limiter but that was when I was racing FV in the late '60's and early '70's. Ancient stuff.

Nah, they aren't illegal. I am surprised more people don't run them.
I bought a Pertronix unit after zinging my engine on a missed upshift thru the esses at Pitt. Ate a bearing because of it. Won't do any good with the wrong gear on a downshift, but it will save the engine if you buzz it going up.

Jay Ivey still sells them, set to your desired rev limit.
