    Default WRD diff oil change

I'm looking to change the oil in my WRD diff this winter. Does anyone know how much capacity and what oil is recommended?

I've tried to email WRD but are not responsive. I don't have the time of day to call them yet.

Also, does anyone know what to torque the large 1-13/16" nut to?

75 mL of full synthetic 75-90 Wt. I take both screws out and inject from bottom vents out the top.

I *think* I saw an announcement recently that they were retiring the WRD business.

When I talked to them, I was told that they were going to find someone to continue working on the differentials. Have not heard who that might be yet. Anybody know?

When they did my Mk9 a few years ago, Paul recommended using Joe Gibbs MTL oil/fluid....think that isn't available anymore, but Gibbs offers a synthetic alternative.... Also, believe Royal Purple has similar product. Paul said no need for hypoid oil, as pinion was on same cl as ring...

Those were less costly than red line......

WRE was also the official Hewland rep for IMSA a couple of years ago...not sure who is offering that service now.

Oh wow, that's crazy to see them go. I wonder if Taylor can work on their units if clutch plates need to be replaced or whatnot.

Thanks for the oil info! Now to find that nut torque!

I got the chance to call WRD this morning. Their business is still running to support their product line. They mentioned they're trying to find a new buyer and have one lined up (yay!).

They confirmed oil is 75mL. Nut torque is 120lbs and then rotate to the next stop until you'll able to drive down the anti-rotation bolt.
