Default Hips too big for Lynx - request for photos of cut-outs

I just acquired a Lynx and the distance between the frame rails is 14 inches. My hips are 15 inches wide and I'm looking to cut at least 3/4" from both sides.

Please let me know if you have made a similar modification and I would love to see examples of different options prior to cutting.

    Thanks, Matt

Default Lynx FV rail cut out

    Hello,
    Mine has the cut outs.
Give me a couple of days and I can get you a couple of pics.
Where are you located in Wisconsin(Wuhan East)?

Mark where you need relief and make football shaped cutouts on upper inner frame rails., You may also choose to drop the floor in the cockpit area an inch and a quarter. Lowers CG (cell and driver)

If you are "not tall" put a spacer under your butt. Block of wood, phonebook, etc.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have seen one example of the 'football' shaped cutouts, and I did like that option.

The chassis already has the dropped floor, so I'm set there.

    Thanks again, Matt

Thanks for the post. I am unfortunately very tall, and the chassis already has a dropped floor. I want to take advantage of the lower CG,

There was a huge block of wood in there that I took out..

    Thanks again, Matt

    Default Not the best picture

The car is in storage so I can't get a better picture, but you may be able to see that the frame rails are beveled in the hip area.

Thanks for the photo. I would be interested in seeing detail around the safety belts. Nice looking car!!
